AJMI organizes an awareness campaign on cancer early detection

As part of Al Jazeera Media Institute's commitment to its social responsibility and its endeavor to promote health awareness, the Institute organized an awareness campaign for its female staff on importance of early detection of cancer, the event included an opening speech delivered by Mrs. Iman Al Ameri, Director of the Institute, in which she stressed the Institute's keenness to create a supportive environment for its employees, noting that the health of individuals is the basis for institutional success.

 Dr. Dina Salem led this campaign to explain to attendees the importance of early detection and its role in improving the chances of recovery and mitigating the psychological impact of the disease. The doctor interacted with participants queries, providing them with practical advice that enhances their understanding to importance and benefits of health protection.

Mrs. Marwa Ali, one of cancer survivors, enriched the meeting by telling the story of her struggle with cancer and how she got over the ordeal, encouraging attendees to undergo regular check-ups and not hesitate to seek support when needed.

It is noteworthy that Mrs. Eman Al Ameri, Director of the Institute, appreciated the support of Qatar Cancer Society to the Institute in providing it with publications and awareness leaflets that reinforce awareness on importance of protection and early detection to ensure quick recovery.

In the same context, female participants expressed their appreciation for this important initiative, which they described as a positive step that highlights the Institute's interest in their health and well-being.
