Aljazeera Media Institute, in participation with Qatar University and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is going to launch next October the “Forum of Arab Journalism Colleges”.

 The forum seeks to establish a platform for exchanging expertise and experiments, highlighting success stories in curriculum development, encouraging scientific research and keeping pace with technical development in areas of journalism production and journalism teaching.

The forum addresses the recent trends in the profession of journalism and references to social sciences, and searches for the best ways and initiatives to develop teaching in Arab journalism faculties by reviewing and embracing international and Arab experiences.

The forum represents an opportunity to strengthen communication between journalism colleges and institutes in Arab world, launching a permanent dialogue on current challenges in order to empower students with necessary tools they need to provide in-depth journalism that reconsiders its role in censorship and achieving the public good.
