AJMI - Doha

The Al Jazeera Media Institute (AJMI), in partnership with the Qatar Debates Centre, hosted a training workshop on "Media Manipulation during Times of War" as part of the youth edition of the Doha Forum held on 4th and 5th December.

The workshop, led by colleague Muhammad Alkhamaiseh from the AJMI's Media Initiatives Department, focused on the strategies of manipulation and deceit employed by the media in times of war, with particular attention given to the coverage by Western media of the Israeli war on Gaza.

This workshop forms part of the institute's endeavours to advance journalistic practices, equipping journalists with the skills to evade the entrapment of misinformation or media manipulation, particularly in times of war and disputes.
