AJMI trains 289 young trainees in 26 media courses during 2025

Al Jazeera Media Institute continues investing in training young participants throughout 2025 by organizing 26 specialized courses focusing on empowering participants with public speaking skills, building confidence on on-camera presence, producing audio and visual content and writing impactful stories. The programs also aimed to enhance participants’ communication skills and help them discover their strengths, with a total of 289 male and female trainees participating over the course of the year.
The courses were designed to cover different media fields including television presentation, content creation and communication skills such as: Future Presenter, Young Media Professional, Young Speaker, Television Presentation for youth, Public Speaking for youth, Negotiation Skills, Voice Concentration for youth, Theatrical Performance, Mobile Photography, Podcasting for youth, and Story Writing, in addition to a specialized podcast course and Young Entrepreneur program.
A number of specialized trainers and experts contributed to delivering these courses, including: Dr. Rania Al-Jamal, Rita Khan, Sama Jihad Al-Subai, Mohammed Al-Shabraoui, Iyad Al-Daoud, Salem Hussein Al-Jahwashi, Ahmed Al-Maliki, Amina Omar, Raghda Jamal, Mohammed Mazimz, and Amal Arisi.
Participants expressed their satisfaction with courses’ content, highlighting benefits of course practical aspects, in addition to the opportunity of meeting real-life professionals working in the fields they trained in. Participants also praised trainers’ competence, their closeness to the youth, and their ability to create a supportive and motivating training environment.
On participants side, Tia Talal explained that the most important knowledge and skills she acquired, and intends to apply in her future life, are that effective public speaking is not limited to delivering words alone, but is based on genuine engagement with audience through clarity of message, strong presence, ability to overcome fear and delivering messages in a way that leaves a tangible impact.
