AJMI welcomes 47 members of Sustainable Development Goals Ambassadors

Al Jazeera Media Institute welcomed 47 members of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Ambassadors on an introductory visit to gain insight into the Institute’s experience in media training and learning about its most prominent programs and initiatives designed to develop media skills among various groups, particularly youth groups.

The visit featured an open dialogue with the Director of the Institute, Ms. Eman Al Amri, focusing on ways to enhance skills of children and young people, and highlighting the role of media in crafting impactful messages that serve humanitarian and development causes at both local and international levels. Visiting ambassadors were also introduced to the Institute’s youth programs and their objectives in boosting communication and creative-thinking skills. In addition, several participants seize the opportunity to present their own community initiatives and projects.

Ms. Eman Al Amri welcomed the delegation and praised the efforts of SDGs Ambassadors in raising community awareness and supporting initiatives that contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals and achieving Qatar National Vision 2030. She encouraged them to benefit from training courses and programs offered by the Institute in various fields, as well as other professional and media development opportunities it provides.

The visit concluded with a tour of the Institute’s facilities, during which participants explored the real training environment and studio facilities. Several ambassadors also took part in a hands-on practical training inside the studio.
