Akhlaquna Award honors the Institute as a media partner

In a ceremony organized by Qatar Foundation, Akhlaquna Award, 2024 edition, honored Al Jazeera Media Institute as a distinguished media partner. It worth mentioning that, the Institute participated in the exhibition, which was organized as part of the event on April 23 and 24.

The event included a ceremony in the honor of winners of Akhlaquna Award in its seventh session as a recognition for projects launched to serve the community in the State of Qatar, that embody good moral values.

On the second day, the Institute contributed to the interactive exhibition directed to school students, where fellow colleagues introduced children to services provided by the Institute especially in the field of training young age groups, and also introduced them to stories focusing on journalism ethics that were written by trainees of a previous workshop held by Al jazeera Media Institute for young people. The course addressed values and ethics of journalism profession and the role of ethics in the journalism in addition to the importance of maintaining journalism to reflect values of accuracy, credibility, objectivity, impartiality and integrity.

It worth mentioning that, he Institute participated in "Our Humility is Life" campaign launched by Akhlaquna Award, and as per the words of Iman Al-Obaidi, a consultant in the Planning and Projects Department at the Institute, that production unit of the Institute produced a set of awareness clips focusing on journalism ethics in addition to a newsletter on press ethics, with participation of trainees from young age groups who attended media courses at the Institute where they prepared and presented these clips.

Eman Al-Obaidi added: "The Institute contributed to "Our Humility is Life" campaign to raise awareness of journalism ethics through awareness clips published on the social media platforms of “Akhlaquna Award”, including five videos, some of which were recorded in the form of news bulletins, including an interview with journalist Khadija Bint Qana, in addition to two podcast episodes with Dr. Sumaya Al-Mutawa and Wadha Al-Athba.
