Media for Development Initiative of Al Jazeera Media Institute, in cooperation with Tafneed platform for information audit and data journalism, is organizing a training course in Istanbul on April 26 and 27, targeting journalists and media students.
This course aims to provide participants with the latest tools and methods to produce accurate and documented journalistic stories supported by evidence and proof, with special focus on detecting corruption and war crimes, checking information in diverse environments, using open sources, and analyzing counter disinformation methods through theoretical sessions and practical applications.
It is worth mentioning that the Institute, in cooperation with Tafneed platform, concluded last March another course titled Systematic Information Auditing for 6 trainees, where they received intensive training under the supervision of Mr. Hossam Al-Wakeel and Mr. Muhammad Tolba.
Participants confirmed that the course helped them develop information audit and proofreading skills, in addition to familiarizing them with the correct ways to reach reliable sources, how to use smart and autonomous tools, as well as improving their ability to effectively analyzing data.
