In cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf, AJMI trains 150 preachers on elocution skills

For the third consecutive year, Al Jazeera Media Institute is organizing an intensive training program titled “Rhetorical Skills”, in cooperation with Qatari Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The program aimed to train 150 preachers and imams to enhance their skills in delivering sermons professionally and focuses on effective communication techniques, persuasion, and skillful use of body language.
The training program was led by a group of professional trainers including media expert Ramadan Mosul, a specialist in public speaking and voice expert Salem Al-Jahwashi who trained participants in oratorical skills, delivery and vocal performance.
The program consists of intensive practical exercises every week throughout five training courses in the field of voice concentration, recitation and public speaking, where each course is dedicated to thirty imams to be trained on how to deliver successful and influential speeches focusing on improvisation skills, how to study and understand the topic of the speech and professional presentation. The program also includes guidance on using body language to enhance rhetorical influence.
It worth mentioning that, the Institute has supervised training of more than 450 preachers and imams in the previous years, as part of a cooperation agreement signed with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the State of Qatar to develop skills of imams and preachers.
