In cooperation with UNESCO, the Institute launches a specialized training program for journalists in Syria

 

AJMI - Doha

Al Jazeera Media Institute, in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and within the framework of “Media for Development” initiative, announces the launch of a specialized training program under the title: Fact-Checking.

This program comes as part of the project 'Boosting journalistic capacities in Syria in Fact-Checking' which targets journalists and fact-checkers, prioritizing those working in high-risk and post-conflict contexts, as well as on digital platforms.

Training content:

•    Skills of news fact-checking and information and countering misinformation.

•    Production of balanced media content that promotes committed journalism.

•    Using digital right tools in fact-checking and content creation.

Basic requirements for enrollment:

•    At least one year of professional experience in journalism, fact-checking, or content production.

•    A university degree.

•    Full commitment to attend all training days.

•    Proficiency in using computers and Internet.

•    Readiness to apply acquired skills in practical contexts.
