An intensive training program for Al Jazeera ambassadors’ initiative at Damascus University

Al Jazeera Ambassadors’ initiative of Al Jazeera Media Institute, in cooperation with Damascus University, organized an intensive training program for students of journalism and media at the university.
The program consists of six integrated courses covering different aspects of media and journalism and attended by more than 100 trainees.
A selected group of Institute's trainers and Al Jazeera stars shared training these courses, namely: broadcaster and presenter Zain Al-Din Al-Abidin, coach Amjad Al-Shaltouni, coach Abdullah Al-Shehimi, coach Bashar Hamdan, coach Hadi Kharrat and coach Haifa Zaatir.
The program provided varied rich content as reflected in the following courses: TV presentation, TV reporter, Mobile Journalism, Sub- editing, News verification and Documentary film production.

PART OF THE COURSES

Throughout these courses there was an ongoing discussions and dialogues focusing on media and journalism, giving participants the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and professional methods. The program also focused on keeping pace with students' ideas, initiatives and students future aspirations in the profession of journalism.
For their part, participants expressed their great satisfaction of the program, and praised efforts of Al Jazeera Institute team in providing a distinguished educational environment that allows them to acquire necessary skills needed for media work.
This initiative goes hand in hand with the commitment of Al Jazeera Media Institute to supporting and developing new generation of journalists, and building their professional capabilities to keep pace with current and future challenges in the field of media.
