Launching Television Presentation Diploma at AJMI, supervised by stars of Al jazeera screen

On Saturday, September 13th, Al Jazeera Media Institute launched a Television Presentation Diploma in Transparency Hall, for eleven trainees striving to develop their skills in dialogue and on-camera presentation. This diploma is one of the institute’s leading professional programs, designed to provide participants with practical tools and hands-on experience to excel in media field, especially amid rapid transformations and the growing importance of visuals in contemporary content creation.

Trainees of this diploma will benefit from a comprehensive training program supervised by some of Al Jazeera’s most prominent screen figures and experts of the institute. Where participants will go through all stages of training, starting from acquiring qualities of a successful presenter with journalist Iman Ayad in “Introduction to TV Presentation course”, then learning basics of news presentation and techniques required for live broadcasts and breaking news, guided by journalist Fidaa Basil, and finally  developing television interviewing skills with journalist Izdihar Sha’shaa, who will focus on managing multiple discussions in-studio or via video call.

It worth noting that, Journalist Jalal Shahda will supervise diploma graduation projects, placing his expertise at the service of trainees’ practical applications. On linguistic and professional side, participants will acquire Arabic language skills from expert Ammar Yahya, then will be trained on voice control and delivery with expert Abdel Fattah Bouakkaz, and finally they are going to master basics of effective journalistic editing under journalist Amjad Al-Shultoni, which makes the program a comprehensive system that hones expertise and prepares participants for various demands of modern television work.

Trainee Samar Raja, based on her academic and volunteering experience, believes that self-investment is a professional necessity, and overcoming camera anxiety is a fundamental step toward success in media field. She points out that her choice of Al Jazeera Institute stemmed from her trust in the program and the professional training it offers, coupled with her ambition to launch a specialized podcast supported by skills she will acquire in this diploma.

For his part, trainee Anas Abu Omar, who is experienced in content creation, social media management and research, considers Television presentation diploma as an important milestone to enhance his delivery and voice control skills on camera which will improve his media content presentation quality. He also seeks to refine his TV presentation abilities and use dialogue tools professionally, benefiting from his research background in content analysis and strengthening audience engagement with confidence and professional composure.

Given that, the program runs until October 16 at the Al Jazeera Media Institute headquarters and is distinguished by intensive practical applications and studio exercises, reflecting the professional approach of the Institute in making media professionals capable of keeping pace with modern requirements.
