Learn Arabic co-organizes a seminar with Arabic Center for Non-Native Speakers at Qatar University

Arabic Learning Program of Al Jazeera Media Institute contributed to organizing a scientific symposium in cooperation with Arabic Language Center for Non-Native Speakers of the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University, under the title: “Teaching Arabic language to non-native speakers in Digital Space, Initiatives in teaching, learning and evaluation”.
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Mansour, of the Institute's Arabic Learning Program, said: "Participation of Al Jazeera Media Institute and Qatar University in organizing this seminar enhances the role of Al Jazeera Media Institute in developing teaching methods of Arabic language to non-native speakers based on Arabic learning program of Al Jazeera Media Institute as a living model. As the program provides an integrated learning experience that blends language teaching and media training.
He added: "The program aims to enable learners to communicate effectively in media and digital modern environments, and focuses on building solid and disciplined digital educational content relevant to language teaching levels and international standards. This collaboration with Qatar University reflects the commitment of both institutions to provide innovative educational solutions that integrate modern technologies and contribute to the spread of Arabic language globally.
It is noteworthy that the symposium witnessed the participation of a group of international experts and academics, where it reviewed innovative experiences and initiatives for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in virtual space, and ways to benefit from gains of the current digital revolution to develop Arabic learners’ efficiency level, support virtual learning environments, in addition to discussing legislative and cultural challenges associated with teaching Arabic in digital space.
