Al Jazeera Media Institute and the International Islamic University in Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Tuesday morning, aimed at fostering cooperation in the field of media.

To mark the occasion, Eman Al Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, welcomed this MOU with a leading educational institution like the International Islamic University in Malaysia. She said that the three-year MOU aims to enhance the Institute's international partnerships. "We look forward to collaborating with the International Islamic University on distinctive media initiatives and expanding cooperation between both parties," she added.

Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, Dean of the International Islamic University in Malaysia, welcomed the agreement. He sees it as an opportunity for students to benefit from Al Jazeera's expansive network, particularly in areas of training and media consulting.

The MOU outlines a framework for cooperation in shared areas such as media training, research, hosting a range of journalism workshops, intensive courses, organizing conferences and other activities.
