Al Jazeera Media Institute received last Thursday evening Mr. Igor Marara Kainamura, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the State of Qatar, the visit was part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen relations and cooperation between Rwanda and media institutions in Doha.

During the visit, the Ambassador appreciated the efforts made by Al Jazeera Media Institute in providing a rich training and professional environment that helps develop journalism and media skills at the regional level, especially in Africa, while noting the importance of communication between nations and the role of media in promoting mutual understanding and cultural dialogue.

For her part, Iman Al Ameri, Director of the Institute, welcomed the ambassador's visit and his interest in strengthening relations with the Institute, considering it an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences in the field of media, and to enhance future cooperation between Al Jazeera Media Institute and Rwanda.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Ambassador was briefed on the Institute's services in the field of learning Arabic and relevant courses held through e-learning platform, in addition to meeting with the editors of the Journalism Magazine and was briefed on the Institute's important facilities such as television and radio studios and training halls.
