Successful participation of Al Jazeera Media Institute in Doha Book Fair

Al jazeera Media Institute concluded with remarkable success its participation in the thirty-third edition of Doha International Book Fair, which was held from 9-18 May.
The contribution of Aljazeera Media Institute within Al jazeera Media Network pavilion was widely valued by visitors of the fair who flocked in great numbers to learn about Institutes’ various courses and were keen to acquire different publications, books and practical guides of the Institute.
Hessa Boudhish, Senior Executive Officer at Al jazeera Media Institute, explained that Al jazeera Media Institute's contribution to the book fair reflects the Institute's commitment to promoting media culture and its interest to spreading awareness of importance of media in society.
For their part, Ahmed Tahseen and Dr. Ibrahim Mansour, supervisors of “Learn Arabic website”, stressed that participating in this cultural event is a golden opportunity to interact with people and exchange experience and remarks with other media and academic institutions, and they continued: "The activities and workshops provided by Arabic Language Unit during the exhibition were well appreciated by visitors, and contributed to achieving Institute's objectives in supporting Arabic-speaking media and developing skills of Arabic media employees who expressed their happiness with the successful participation of Learn Arabic language Unit in International Book Fair and they aspire for more future posts. Given that the institute provided a series of activities related to Arabic language for school students and other visitors to the fair supervised by Ahmed Tahseen and Dr. Ibrahim Mansour.
The Institute also launched a number of workshops dealing with story, novel, artificial intelligence, art of public speaking, how to monitor professional violations in journalism and challenges of translation in the digital age presented by a group of colleagues at the Institute including Raghda Jamal, Jana Al-Muslimani, Youssef Awad, Muhammad Zeidan, and Abdul Majeed Barakat, in addition to a workshop on Arabic Calligraphy presented by Mr. Hassan Yassin.
