Sultan Qaboos University delegation explores AJMI’s experience

Al Jazeera Media Institute welcomed a student delegation from Sultan Qaboos University on Wednesday morning as part of the group's educational tour of leading academic, educational, and training institutions in the State of Qatar.
The visit commenced with a guided tour of the Institute's facilities, where the delegation explored its television and radio studios and gained insight into the advanced training methodologies underpinning its media programs.

The students also attended a session on the role of voice in podcast production, delivered by Amina Al-Sayyad from Atheer platform, followed by another session presented by Dr. Yasser Al-Mahyou, Acting Director of Artificial Intelligence at Aljazeera Media Network, who highlighted how artificial intelligence can empower people with visual impairments, and hence enhancing learning opportunities and supporting media production.

The visit featured an engaging discussion on digital applications and tools that enable visually impaired individuals to access information, produce content, and interact effectively across media platforms. Participants were also introduced to the Institute's training programs and professional development services.
Student Khalid Al-Raqadi expressed his delight with the visit, noting that it had boosted his interest in the media field. He said: “This experience fills me with pride and happiness. It has opened new horizons for learning, creativity, and professional growth.”

For his part, Ashraf Al-Amri, the delegation supervisor, praised the Institute's warm welcome and excellent organization, commending the quality of its training experience. He affirmed that this would not be the delegation's last visit, given the lasting positive impression it had left on the students.
This visit reflects the Al Jazeera Media Institute's ongoing commitment to reinforcing partnerships with academic institutions, showcasing its distinguished training experience, and creating opportunities for learning and knowledge exchange with students and media enthusiasts from Qatar and around the world.
