The workshop was supervised by journalist and broadcaster Mohammed Krichan, who led a series of intensive sessions that dealt with practical and interactive themes aiming to enhancing efficiency of trainees in media presence.

During a two-days’ workshop, he focused on camera skills and how to overcome challenges that journalists or media practitioners may face during interviews.

The workshop also addressed different levels of media presence, basic requirements that a trainee should have during his appearance in media, in addition to highlighting necessary skills for producing short audio clips used in television reports.

Training also covered skills of conducting television interviews, whether during live news bulletins or in the context of specialized interviews, in addition to necessary skills for dealing with press conferences, and how to effectively display media messages at such events.

The workshop included practical exercises, where trainees conducted live interviews with an assistant presenter, which gave them the opportunity to embody and practice skills they have acquired and to receive objective assessment on their performance. At the end of each experiment, general and individual observations were reviewed in order to direct trainees towards points that need to be developed or strengthened, to ensure continuity of improving media performance quality.
