Japanese Student Delegation Visits the Institute

On Thursday evening, February 13, Al Jazeera Media Institute received a student delegation from Japan from Sasakawa Peace Foundation.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the role of the Institute in developing media skills, and reviewed its various training services, including specialized training courses, whether in person or online. They also learned about the services of the e-learning platform and Arabic language learning program, in addition to visiting studios and have practical trial on reading news using the Auto-cue.
For their part, the students expressed their appreciation for this opportunity to visit a pioneering knowledge edifice such as theAl Jazeera Institute. They praised the spirit of journalism that characterizes Al Jazeera Media Network.
Asumi Kimura, accompanying the delegation, said, "The visit to Al JazeeraMedia Institute was a particularly inspiring experience for female students, as this opportunity is of a great value to get to know the distinguished media cadres that characterize the network, and our meeting with journalist Dr. Mei Shigenobu, content editor of e-learning website in the English version, provided an opportunity to get to know prominent Japanese women models working in media field and specifically within Aljazeera Media Network.
At the end of the visit, the delegation appreciated the efforts of Al Jazeera Institute in empowering media competencies and promoting cultural exchange, expressing their wishes for continuous cooperation in the future.
