Aljazeera Media Institute welcomes Iraqi media delegation

A high-level Iraqi media delegation visited Aljazeera Media Institute and several facilities of Aljazeera network channels in Doha, where they toured key studios and advanced media facilities. The delegation received a briefing from International Communications Department, and also participated in a workshop delivered by colleague Mohammed Ahaddad on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in journalism and their potentials for enhancing content quality and fact-checking.
The visit included 24 prominent Iraqi officials and journalists and left a positive impression on members of the delegation. Dr. Nizar Al-Samarrai described the experience as “a valuable opportunity to learn about one of the most important Arab and international satellite channels, representing a distinguished media school and a turning point in the history of Arab media.” He praised the level of technological advancement in Aljazeera’s studios and the clear vision of the Institute in creating distinguished media professionals by leveraging staff expertise and transferring professional experience to new generations.

For his part, Ali Al-Husseini, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Alam Al-Jadeed electronic newspaper, expressed his admiration for the Institute’s vision in its conscious approach to artificial intelligence technologies and their use in serving Arab journalists. He affirmed that within a few years, Aljazeera Media Institute has achieved an advanced position among journalism training centers regionally and internationally, and its professional publications reflect deep-rooted expertise and field experience that encourage other institutions to adopt similar models.
Journalist Duraid Salman described Aljazeera as “a media state in its own right,” bringing together a wide spectrum of talents from around the world. He praised its ability to inspire and produce globally competitive content, adding that the Institute represents “a bright spot” in Arab media landscape, preparing generations of journalists capable of keeping pace with developments and breaking stagnation by providing a training environment rich in resources and knowledge diversity.

This visit came within the framework of the international media engagement adopted by Aljazeera Media Institute to enhance exchange of expertise and building knowledge partnerships with journalistic institutions across Arab world, supporting professional development and keeping pace with the rapid transformations in contemporary media.
