An investigative journalist and trainer, with more than 10 years of experience in the field of investigative journalism. He became a member of the Al-Jazeera Network in 2019, as an investigative producer in the Programs Department. In addition to the investigations production, he worked as a supervisor and editor in the ARIJ Network for Investigative Journalism, in which he founded and managed the Digital Investigations Unit, and before that, he led the Investigative Unit in the Community Media Network, Radio Al-Balad and Amman Net. His investigations won local and regional awards, and he participated in the international campaign for the Panama Papers in cooperation With the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. he and his colleagues at the Al Jazeera Institute prepared a guide to investigative Journalism. He also published, along with others, an "Investigative Journalism Guide for Human Rights". Shawabkeh has judged many local and regional journalism awards.
