Bio

Majid Boutmin began his career more than 25 years ago. He began working in the Algerian radio, sports department in 1993 and moved to the sports department of the Algerian television as a commentator and presenter of sports programs and news in 1995. He also worked as a reporter for Abu Dhabi Sports Channel between 1998 and 2001, then moved to work as a presenter. As a sports commentator for Dubai Sports Channel from 2002 to May 2006, one of his most famous programs is the Arab League, which he presented on Dubai Sports Channel for four years. After that, Majid Butmin joined Al Jazeera Network in 2006, where he covered many important sporting events such as the 2002, 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cup finals, as well as the 2013 and 2015 World Handball Championships, the 2007, 2009 and 2019 World Championships in Athletics, the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the Arab Cup in Doha 2021, the 2022 African Cup of Nations and other important sporting events.
