Isra Waleed Almudallal
Bio
Isra Almudallal is a Palestinian journalist and activist with 10 consecutive years of experience in television presenting in Gaza for international and regional media outlets, followed by seven years of experience in digital presenting and investigative journalism outside Gaza. Throughout her career, Isra covered the first, second, and third wars in Gaza, in addition to reporting on major events and producing investigative reports related to several countries, including Yemen, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Türkiye, Kuwait, Jordan, the United States, Lebanon, Western Europe, Africa, and Russia. Israa has worked as part of the teams of several media organizations, most notably the Turkish broadcaster TRT Arabic and Al-Kitab Satellite Channel. She also founded a digital platform called “Insan.” She has lectured at several universities in Gaza and Türkiye, delivering sessions to bachelor’s and master’s students on media ethics, war reporting, professional safety, and documentary direction, with a particular focus on stories and films that reflect human-centered narratives. In 2014, Israa was recognized as one of the most influential women in the Middle East and Palestine.

- Worked in the TRT Turkish newsroom in English and founded the digital platform "Insan" (2023 - 2024). - News producer at TRT Arabic (2018 - 2024). - Producer and presenter of programs on the UNRWA TV channel - (2015 - 2018). - Spokesperson for the 10th Palestinian government in English and director of external relations at the Media Ministry - (2014 - 2015). - Producer and presenter of TV programs on Al-Kitab TV - (2010 - 2013). - Translator for several Arab and foreign presidential delegations, experts, and officials - (2009 - 2010). - TV correspondent for the Press TV channel in English, covering the Gaza war - (2008).
