Bio
Ammar Yahya is a journalist, editor, and researcher whose career has been closely intertwined with the Arabic language. He has taught Arabic at various levels and delivered specialized courses on teaching methods and tools before joining Al Jazeera Net in the early 2010s as a Senior Editor. Ammar contributed to the founding of the “Al Jazeera Encyclopedia” and created the “Root and Words” series as part of the “Learn Arabic” project. He has conducted training in writing, editing, proofreading, linguistic semantics, and Arabic teaching methodologies, including youth-focused courses. He has also led workshops on diverse topics such as media discourse construction, situational assessment, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) for news gathering. Ammar has published peer-reviewed research in his areas of specialization.
