Bio

Cyril Vanier is a Principal Presenter for Al Jazeera English. He presents daily news broadcasts as well as feature programs such as Inside Story and Talk to Al Jazeera. Prior to joining Al Jazeera, Cyril was a news presenter and correspondent for CNN International, covering the Trump presidency, Brexit, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Cyril started his career at France 24 where he served as presenter and international correspondent. While there, he reported on the world’s most impactful international stories, including the Arab Spring, the war in Afghanistan, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the U.S. presidential elections. His coverage of the Libyan uprising was nominated for several awards including the Albert Londres Award and Bayeux War Correspondents Award.
