Bio
Hossam Alwakeel is a journalist specializing in investigative and in-depth journalism. He has nearly twenty years of experience across various media fields, during which he has focused on developing a professional approach grounded in accuracy, research, and verification. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the “Tafnid” platform, which specializes in investigative journalism and fact-checking. He has also worked for many years as a news producer, including several years with the Al Jazeera Media Network, in addition to serving as an editor for several Arab and regional platforms. Since 2019, training has become a core part of his professional work, delivering training programs in interconnected fields such as open-source journalism, data journalism, fact-checking, and the integration of artificial intelligence techniques in newsrooms.
