Course Description

It provides an introduction to research, narrative methods, character development, and plot construction. - Define the novel based on narrative schools.
- Writing obstacles and challenges.
- Narrative time and its role in creating suspense.
- Writing the narrative location and refining Its elements.
• Research and writing applications in the novel:
- Research and planning before writing.
- Stages and sources of research.
- Research considerations.
• Developing characters and narrative elements:
- Describing characters; physical, mental, and cultural descriptions.
- Pronouns, "narrative voices," and optimal ways to use them.
- Create and define characters and maintain them.
- "Point of view" character and its role in guiding the narrative.
• Writing and narrative techniques:
- General form of the novel.
- Use description and plot in the novel.
- Types of narrative dialogue and considerations for use.
- Transitioning from narrative to dialogue and vice versa.
