AJMI - Doha

Al Jazeera Media Institute, in collaboration with Palestinian Journalists Protection Center, held a three-day blended training course, combining both in-person sessions in a training hall and online participation via video conferencing.
A total of 15 male and female trainees took part in the program, under the guidance of media trainer Amjad Al-Shultoni, as part of Al Jazeera Ambassadors initiative activities. Participants were introduced to journalistic editing fundamental concepts, learned how to distinguish between different editing formats, in addition to acquiring organization skills and linguistic proofreading to master editorial work.
This course stood out for encouraging participation of individuals who joined prior initiatives launched by the Institute, such as Voices from the South, Sanad Initiative and Emergency Response for Gaza.
The program was designed to invest in sustainability, through enhancing expertise of trainees and encouraging exchange of inspiring experiences with the aim to ensure continuity of positive impact, reinforcing effectiveness of media initiatives in a dynamic, interactive environment that promotes teamwork and opens broader horizons.
