38% increase in Al Jazeera Ambassadors’ training courses in six months

AJMI - Doha

"Al Jazeera Ambassadors" program of Al Jazeera Media Institute held 97 training courses during the first half of 2025, benefiting more than 2,500 trainees in Arab and non-Arab countries. These figures represent an increase of 38.57% in number of courses and 90.24% in the number of beneficiaries compared to the same period in the last year.

The program continues to expand as product of the initiative launched by the Institute in 2012, where it works to transfer the professional expertise of Al Jazeera network employees to young people in Arab region and beyond, through charge-free courses focused on developing media skills.

Since the launch of the initiative, the program has held more than 750 training courses for more than 19,000 trainees. Given that all these courses and workshops were designed and led by trainers from various sectors of the Network, in cooperation with educational and community institutions.

The initiative relies on local partnerships and volunteering media competencies to provide practical training in the fields of written and visual journalism, digital content creation, communication and elocution skills in order to meet needs and requirements of target groups in different environments.
