AJMI concluded young age groups courses and graduated 110 trainees

Al Jazeera Media Institute concluded a package of courses allocated for young age groups held during the months of July and August with the aim of helping and enabling young people to develop their media skills.

Hamad Al Marri, Director of Planning and Projects Department at the Institute, said: "These courses stem from the Institute's belief in the importance of investing in young cadres and the necessity of developing and enhancing their media culture. And we are happy to give this emerging age group an opportunity to enhance their awareness in order to identifying their media skills and how to work on developing them in line with their future ambitions.

Hamad continued: “our course list for the public achieved a great turnout as we continue updating and adding to this course list to meet potential needs of the public, and this is the secret behind recording 110 trainees from young age groups.

He went further to explain: “These courses covered a variety of skills that can be trained on and acquired by young people, such as skills of self-confidence, facing the camera, creativity, photography, performance, voice placement, negotiation and persuasion, and communication, given that these courses include interactive exercises and practical applications presented by a group of professionals training experts.

He said “today we are concluding two courses, theatrical performance, where media expert Salem Al-Jahwashi trained ten participants and mobile photography course for seven trainees led by colleague Ayman Al-Khatib.

Group photo of  Young presenter Course with trainer Mohammed MuzaymezIt’s worth to be mentioned, the institute offered ten training courses from mid-July till the end of August, Little Presenter, Mobile Photography, Theatrical Performance, Young Speaker and Negotiation Skills and finally the Voice Placement Course.

These courses were trained by, Ahmed Al-Malki, Salem Al-Jahwashi, presenter Mohamed Mzeimez, trainer Rania Al-Jamal, and coach Ayman Al-Khatib.

Given that, the Institute is paying a special attention to training young age groups and developing their skills since the year 2010.
