AJMI concludes its contribution to Katara Camp with “Photography Workshop”

Aljazeera Media Institute concluded its contribution to Katara Summer Camp for the second consecutive year with a workshop on “Basics of photography” for young people presented by colleague Jana Al-Muslimani to more than 25 trainees.

Trainer Jana Al-Muslimani said that during the workshop, she focused on introducing basic concepts of photography such as lighting control and shooting angles, in addition to understanding ethics of professional photography.

Jana added "We shed light on image components such as light, shadow and visual composition in addition to training participants on how to use photography as a tool to convey messages and stories with maximum responsibility and in accordance with stipulated ethics”. She also stressed the positive interaction of trainees with topics and themes covered in the workshop.

It is noteworthy that this workshop marks the end of Aljazeera Media Institute contribution in Katara Summer Camp activities which came within the framework of community partnership. This contribution was represented in offering various training workshops with the aim of promoting and enhancing young people skills and developing their capabilities in various fields. Given that the total number of trainees attended these courses and workshops exceeded 85 trainees.
