AJMI - Doha

The Al Jazeera Media Institute recently conducted a creative writing workshop on the evening of June 19. The workshop attracted participants who were hoping to improve their skills in literary writing. The session was led by Raghda Jamal, a journalist, storyteller and the head of the Al-Jazeera Ambassadors Initiative at the Institute.

During the workshop, Jamal focused on the distinctions between various styles of literary writing as well as the essential elements that should be incorporated into a literary piece, short story or novel. The creative planning process, including techniques such as mind mapping and artistic templates, was also highlighted.

This workshop took place as part of the Al Jazeera Media Institute's participation in the 32nd edition of the Doha International Book Fair.
