AJMI doubles the number of special courses in the first half of 2025

Al Jazeera Media Institute achieved a qualitative achievement in the first half of 2025, as it held more than 120 special training courses for institutions and companies of both public and private sectors inside and outside Qatar. Goven that this number is double the number of special courses held at the same period of 2024, where only 64 special courses were held.

Hani Abdel Jalil, senior development and business officer at Al Jazeera Media Institute, said: " The Institute is committed to provide training models and experiences based on true understanding of the nature of institutions and their needs, and then designing integrated programs that help achieving planned goals efficiently and flexibly. The recent period witnessed achievement of several training initiatives in cooperation with a group of organizations in the Sultanate of Oman, in line with the strategy of the Institute to develop partnerships and expand scope of institutional work.

The beneficiary parties of this initiative include ministries and official bodies, media and educational institutions, as well as regional and international organizations. These courses also extended to reach other Gulf and Arab countries such as the Sultanate of Oman, Algeria, Lebanon, Turkey.

Training programs varied to include a wide range of vital skills, most notably: Media skills, public speaking, presentation and display, protocol and etiquette, corporate communication, leadership and influence, media crisis management, legal skills and digital content production. It also included advanced programs in digital media and data journalism such as artificial intelligence in newsrooms, visual news storytelling and visual information design.

The team of special courses at the Institute manages and supervises these services with high professionalism, through careful analysis of the needs demanded by beneficiaries, designing customized training content, selecting the most appropriate trainers and ensures smooth and integrated implementation, in addition to continuous follow up to evaluate and measure training impact.

This methodology is adopted as a reference for providing specialized training that takes into account characteristics and specificity of each institution and its practical objectives.
