AJMI graduates a new cohort in Public Relations Diploma
AJMI - Doha
Al Jazeera Media Institute celebrated last Thursday evening the graduation of five persons interested in the field of public relations after completing professional diploma program held by the Institute over four intensive training weeks, under the supervision of a group of experts specializing in communication and public relations.
Eman Al-Amri, Director of Al Jazeera Media Institute, affirmed during the graduation ceremony that public relations is an evolving field that requires continuous development in content and skills. She emphasizes the institute’s commitment to instilling these values in graduates to enable them to keep pace with the market and create a solid professional impact, praising the efforts of participants and trainers and describing the diploma as a genuine addition to practitioners in this field.
Trainer Amjad Al-Shaltouni, who delivered “public relations writing module” within the diploma program, stated that Public Relations Diploma offered a “different experience” based on boldness and producing content that reflects reality and its digital transformations. He stressed that entering this field requires courage, competition and confidence in creating influential content. He explained that the relationship between journalism and public relations is organic: Journalists need information, and public relations serves as the bridge that provides it from reality, not from rigid theories. He noted that digital transformations now directly affect the work of spokespersons and communication professionals, and that search engines have become an essential part of public relations work and the lack of proficiency in using them results in loss of presence and reputation. He emphasized that the Institute succeeded in reinforcing these concepts among distinguished participants.
In a related context, trainee Latifa Al-Marri expressed her appreciation for Al Jazeera Media Institute, praising the professional level that distinguished the diploma programs throughout thirty days of intensive training, brainstorming, and knowledge exchange. She confirmed that experience she had acquired contributed to expanding her professional horizons and reshaping her understanding of many media concepts, thanks to high quality of content and practical application.
The program included tracks covering image building and reputation management delivered by Dr. Bassam Al-Jazzaf from Kuwait; planning public relations campaigns by expert Ali Al-Ajmi; communication and interpersonal skills supervised by Mohannad Naeem; event and conference management by Samir Al-Shamaila; protocol and etiquette by trainer Saeed Al-Aida; crisis media management by Dr. Abdullah Joudat; digital communication for institutions by Abdullah Al-Shaheemi; public relations writing by journalist Amjad Al-Shaltouni; and media presence by presenter Izdihar Sha'sha'a.
It is worth noting that Aljazeera Media Institute holds Public Relations Diploma annually for more than ten years and continuously updating and developing its content through a specialized professional program that brings together diverse expertise and evolving knowledge.
