As part of “Media for Development Program”, Al Jazeera Media Institute launched emergency response initiative "Journalism Without Restrictions", to support small and emerging digital platforms in Palestine or platforms supporting Palestinian content.

This initiative comes as a result of the siege imposed by international donor institutions over Palestinian platforms or platforms supporting Palestinian content and restrictions imposed by social media companies on contents of these platforms.
The initiative seeks to provide emergency support for ten digital journalism platforms that publish the Palestinian perspective in the digital space, and it also seeks to enable institutions to operate flexibly in response to heavy news pressure during the war on Gaza.

The initiative includes providing support in terms of technical services, assistance in terms of editorial policy development, and improving work team professionality.
