Among the activities of Global Student Network for Palestine Forum held in Istanbul last week, colleague Ahmed Abu Hamad from Al Jazeera Media Institute presented a workshop on political interaction and organizing advocacy campaigns for nearly 100 students from more than 20 countries around the world.

During the workshop, Abu Hamad discussed the need to transform digital activities into tangible results on the ground by transforming individual political interactions on virtual world into effective political participation on the ground. 

During the workshop, participants learned how to design and format social media platforms in a way that allow people to participate, disseminate and receive ideas in addition to reflecting the impact of platform design on political message.
