Al Jazeera Week in Rabat for 255 trainees, in total

Al Jazeera Ambassadors’ initiative of Aljazeera Media Institute concluded activities of "Al JazeeraWeek" in Rabat. The week was organized in its fourth edition from May 19 to 23, in partnership with Interim Committee for Management of Press and Publishing Sector and the Higher Institute for Information and Communication in Morocco.

“Al Jazeera Week” presented, this year, 12 specialized training programs covering a wide range of journalistic and media topics led and supervised by trainers from Al Jazeera Media Institute for a total of 255 journalists of different media fields and media students.

Workshops varied between professional and technical aspects, most notably: Television presentation course, presented by veteran journalist Muhammad Krishan, television reporter course under supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Bakkali, documentary film production course led by Sami Darbashi, investigative journalism course presented by journalist Muhammad Ahdad, journalism ethics in digital age course delivered by journalist Muhammad Khamaysa and sports journalism course, trained journalist Muhammad Amor was trained.

The programs also included specialized courses, such as: podcast production course with trainer Amina Al-Sayyad, data journalism course with Dr. Arwa Al-Kaali, news bulletin production course with Abu Bakr Mashali, digital story building course under the supervision of producer Khawla Bouslam, news verification course with journalist Lahcen Skoor and a second course in sports journalism led by coach Ammar Namiq.

These training workshops provided intensive practical exercises for production of recorded news bulletins and digital field reports, which reflected the interest and great interaction of trainees and moreover showed the impact of new skills they acquired during this training week.
 
At the end of the program, participants appreciated sincere efforts of trainers, expressing their appreciation for the initiative and qualitative addition, in terms of skills, it provided. They also stress importance of repeating such media initiatives that combine professional knowledge and practical training.

It is noteworthy that the "Al Jazeera Ambassadors" initiative, through four editions of “Al Jazeera Week” in Morocco, has so far trained 328 participants.
