Al Jazeera Institute graduates 11 trainees in "Official Spokesperson" course for young people

Al Jazeera Media Institute concluded last week, its summer camp “I'lam” with “Official Spokesperson” course for young age groups which held for the first time for a large group of 11 male and female trainees.

This course was trained by Rita Khan, who said: “The course aims to introduce trainees to the role of the official spokesperson and his most prominent qualities and focused on professional speaking. The program consists of practical exercises inside the studio, training participants on how to face the camera and interact with audience questions in a professional manner. Trainees were also trained on basics of body language and importance of gestures on stage in order to enable them to acquire multiple skills that polish their performance and enhance their self-confidence while addressing public.

Course trainer pointed out that the course included practical exercises focusing on speech and voice control techniques, and how to build a clear and effective speech that reflects institution's message effectively, noting that she was keen to work with each trainee individually to refine and improve his skills, which contributed to raising level of collective performance of all trainees.

At the end of the course, Rita Khan advised trainees to continue training and practice, noting the importance of applying what they have learned in their own working capacities. She also provided them with a set of tips and applications that will help them develop their skills continuously in order to qualify them to excel in their future life as spokespersons.
