As part of its training policy, Al Jazeera Media Institute continues to offer workshops that keep pace with the evolving media landscape, transforming emerging trends into practical, applicable skills. Among these is “Producing Short Audio Stories for Podcasts” workshop.

The workshop will take place on the evening of 26 November 2026, to provide participants with the skills needed for selecting a compelling idea and then crafting a concise, engaging narrative script. Participants will then move on to audio planning, recording and delivery, and finally learning basics of audio processing and producing a short podcast episode.

The workshop offers podcast enthusiasts an opportunity to explore short-form audio storytelling as a format that combines the density of the idea with compelling narration in a limited timeframe. Thus, it provides content creators with an alternative way to tell their stories beyond the traditional long-form episode.
