Al Jazeera Media Institute partakes in Doha International Book Fair

Al Jazeera Media Institute continues to participate in Doha International Book Fair 2025, through the pavilion of Al Jazeera Media Network, by providing many media and knowledge activities until May 17.
This participation comes as an extension of the ongoing annual presence of Al Jazeera Media Institute in this event, as part of its vision to promote media culture and open direct communication channels with the public. Contributing to these events gives the Institute the opportunity to provide qualitative content reflects its professional expertise and training experience, thus consolidating its position as a reference in the field of media and journalism training in the Arab world.
During the fair, this year, the Institute is showcasing more than 50 diverse publications, including professional guides and books in sub- editing, news presentation, arts of presentation and content creation, in addition to some periodic issues of Press Magazine, which is represents a platform for discussing journalism current transformations and related current issues facing journalism.
The institute also held short training workshops on contemporary topics such as: media manipulation in times of war, story writing, artificial intelligence in journalism, narrative techniques, media language and editorial issues.
The pavilion also witnessed a special reading in the book "Shireen Abu Akleh – A Journalistic Biography" on the third anniversary of her assassination, as part of loyalty stand to her journalistic message, and to revive the values of the profession that she carried.
Hamad Al-Houl Al-Marri, Director of Planning and Projects Department at the Institute, said: "Our participation in the book fair reflects the Institute's commitment to direct interaction with the public, and to provide media content that enhances awareness and culture. Through our publications and interactive workshops, we are keen to consolidate values of knowledge and enrich debate on media issues in a time of accelerating changes.
During the fair visitors were introduced to services and training programs offered by the Institute and found, in the pavilion, an open space for dialogue and exchanging experiences. Al Jazeera Center for Studies and Quality Control Sector of the Network also participated in the pavilion by providing a series of specialized publications that reflect the diversity and richness of knowledge within the institution.
