Al Jazeera Media Institute promotes entrepreneurial culture among youth
AJMI - Doha
Al Jazeera Media Institute organized Young Entrepreneurs course, aiming to develop entrepreneurial thinking among children and introduce them to project planning fundamentals and how to turn ideas into executable projects, through practical, hands-on learning experience.
Sixteen children joined the course and worked with a strong team spirit. They were divided into three groups that established three startup companies: a healthy cake project, a fresh cake project, and a third offering fresh lemonade products and handmade bracelets, simulating a real entrepreneurial environment.
Participants demonstrated an advanced level of engagement and commitment throughout the program days, along with a clear ability to learn and apply concepts practically. This was reflected in the final business exhibition, where children presented their projects to visitors and the evaluation committee, showcasing real models of ideas they had developed themselves.

In this context, several participants expressed their experience with enthusiasm and pride. Saad Al Mahmoud stated that the course helped him learn basics of project planning and launching a real idea, noting that his participation in the business exhibition was a unique experience where he felt proud presenting the fresh lemonade project to customers, with the support and encouragement of the trainer and his family.
For her part, Fatima Saud Al-Dulaimi explained that the course helped her present her idea with confidence and plan her project step by step. She considered her participation in the final-day business exhibition, where she presented her project “The Daily Bake” to the audience, a pivotal milestone in her experience.
The children’s projects were evaluated by Mohammed Al-Dulaimi and Saud Al-Dulaimi, founders of SkipCash and PayLater, who provided constructive feedback that helped guide participants and encouraged them to continue developing their entrepreneurial ideas and refining their skills.
Course trainer, Dr. Rania Al-Jamal, confirmed that teaching entrepreneurship to children goes beyond the concept of starting a business to include building confidence, developing creative thinking, and teaching them how to turn ideas into reality. She noted that what participants demonstrated during the course reflects the importance of early investment in children’s minds as an investment in the future.
This course comes as part of Al Jazeera Media Institute’s vision to support applied education and empowering new generations with the required skills that qualify them to become leaders and entrepreneurs.
