The Ambassador of Somalia to Qatar visited Al Jazeera Media Institute on Thursday evening, December 14/2023, as a gesture aimed at enhancing cooperation between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Institute.

Ambassador Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali met with the Director of the Institute, Iman Al Ameri, where the meeting discussed areas of possible cooperation between the two parties and focused on the possibility of training distinguished Somali media cadres in order to qualify and enable them with appropriate media skills.

For his part, the Ambassador praised the efforts made by the Institute at the level of developing media skills and encouraging the culture of objective professional media, and he expressed his aspiration to cooperate with the Institute as soon as possible.

During the visit, the Ambassador was briefed on the various training programs offered by the Institute and other media services, Where he hailed the role of the Institute in developing skills and knowledge in the field of media.
