A delegation from Tashkent State University for Oriental Studies, in Uzbekistan visited Al Jazeera Media Institute last Thursday to discuss means of cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation is led by Dr. Golchikhra Rekhsiyeva, President of the University, and Nader Abdullah Yuv, Vice President of the University, was briefed on the Institute's historical experience in the field of training and media development.

Hamad Al-Houl Al-Marri, Director of Planning and Projects Department, introduced them to the various activities of the Institute, starting with specialized training programs, passing through the most important journalistic versions, media guides. He also told them about the experiences of the e-learning platform and the Arabic learning website in the field of providing Arabic language courses for non-native speakers which organized by the Institute along with its other training activities.

From her side, president of the University, Dr. Rekhseyeva, gave a detailed explanation of the nature of the Department of Arabic Language at Tashkent University for Oriental Studies and its special programs in the Arabic language. At the end of the visit, the two parties exchanged commemorative shields.
