Hands-on training for QU students in TV production and presentation skills

Al Jazeera Media Institute has concluded two workshops conducted for Qatar University, bringing together 40 male and female students. The workshops focused on audiovisual journalism as part of the “Al Jazeera Ambassadors” initiative.

Media professional Abdulsalam Abu Malik led “Television Program Production” workshop, attended by 27 students from Media College at Qatar University. The workshop explored the full lifecycle of TV program production, from concept to execution, highlighting key stages such as selecting target broadcaster, budgeting, scheduling, audience targeting, guest selection and other essential production elements.

In a related context, veteran media trainer Salem Al Jahoushi delivered “Voice Focus and Presentation Skills” workshop to 13 students from “Bassma” Club and “Ain” Team of Qatar University. Training covered voice control techniques, types of pauses, vocal range, organizing breathing, and practical exercises to ensure clarity and quality of delivery. Each participant also received hands-on practice. The trainer provided individualized feedback to participants, along with valuable tips aimed at enhancing their performance.

In the same vein, participants praised the workshops, describing them as highly positive and beneficial. They expressed their commitment to applying acquired techniques and insights to improve their professional and everyday communication skills.
