As part of its media programs in diploma category for this year, Al Jazeera Media Institute will launch a Field Media Skills Diploma from November 4 to December 7 under the supervision of a group of trainers.

The Institute organizes diploma programs during the evening period and targets students in faculties of media and communication, recent graduates, as well as those who have previous experience in journalism or documentary film.

The diploma will address several areas, the most important of which is to identify the fundamental differences between field report, documentary program, features, and documentary film, in addition to covering the concept of creativity in field production, writing for the picture, (both journalistic and creative writing), identifying different photography methods, montage processes and image processing, up to the pre-production stage and familiarity with media message and research methods, how to write various treatments, coordination, understanding needs and teamwork, realistic and creative forms of interviews, as well as other relevant topics.

At the end of the diploma, participants will receive a graduation certificate from Al Jazeera Media Institute and a graduation project determined by the trainee relevant to topics trained in the diploma and each trainee has to produce a field report, a documentary program, a feature or a documentary film.
