Al Jazeera Media Institute hosted Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, in a visit dedicated to exploring prospects for expanding institutional cooperation in media capacity-building and professional development. The visit comes within the framework of boosting integration between education and media sectors in support of a knowledge-based society and consolidation of national competencies.

The visit aimed to review the Institute’s training experience and its qualitative initiatives. Her Excellency, the minister, commended the role of Al Jazeera Media Institute as a regional platform for qualifying media professionals and advancing knowledge-based content creation. She praised its efforts to develop programs that respond to digital transformations and reinforcing presence of media skills within educational and community environments.

During the meeting, a presentation was delivered highlighting key projects that embody integration of training and practical application at the Institute. These include initiatives of 'Al Sahafa' Magazine, programs of 'Learn Arabic' Department, and various e-learning tracks, all of which contribute to expanding access to media knowledge and enhancing opportunities for flexible and continuous learning. The visit concluded with a field tour for studios and training facilities, where Her Excellency was introduced to models of production environments and hands-on training mechanisms employed to refine skills and develop expertise.

This visit aligns with the Institute’s strategic trend toward building deeper partnerships with educational institutions, in order to foster innovation in designing joint training programs, and reinforcing the role of media as a knowledge driver supporting education and professional development pathways in the State of Qatar and Arab region.
