New courses of Al Jazeera Media Institute: Press report writing

Al Jazeera Media Institute is going to launch a new training course titled " Press Report Writing " from October 27 to 31.
The course aims to enhance skills of journalists and editors in press report writing and addresses the necessity of formulating attractive headlines and journalistic content that matches required professional standards. This five-day intensive course will be trained by Ahmed Hafez, one of Institute's experts in in the field of journalistic writing.
The course includes several outlines, starting with a comprehensive introduction to journalistic writing and its importance, where participants will be introduced to elements of news and news angles, then shifting to different types of press reports and explaining how to write each type in addition to choosing appropriate style for each report. Also, emphasis will be placed on the report structure, where participants will learn how to logically construct a report through organizing information and analyzing the main structure of the report taking into consideration importance of formulating a strong reasoning/ conclusion.
The course will also address storytelling techniques that help writing striking headlines and strong beginnings for the report, in addition to balancing nsarrative and information delivery taking into consideration the required high-quality standards needed for report production.
Participants will learn advanced editing skills that enable them to improve clarity and writing a seamless text, moreover they will acquire the ability to critically evaluate and improve report quality.
This course targets journalists and editors having satistactory background in media or human studies, as well as those interested in developing their writing skills in journalism.
