Al Jazeera Media Institute, in cooperation with Sada Social Center is organizing a specialized training course under the title "Digital Research Skills". The course targets freelancers, with the aim to enhance their abilities and promote their skills to collect and verify information using advanced digital tools.
The course covers a set of basic topics that contribute to developing journalists' skills in the field of digital research, and addresses advanced search strategies for search engines, use of topic related vocabulary and synonyms and geographical maps search methods. Participants will also learn about digital journalistic research tools and applications, information validation mechanisms, as well as techniques for data organization and data management. The training also covers principles of safe research and digital journalism ethics along with practical applications to enhance skills of journalists in this field.
The course will be held remotely via Zoom from March 23 to 25, from 10 am to 1 pm Doha local time.
