AJMI launches 25 workshops and courses for youth and adults in October

Al Jazeera Media Institute continues to implement its vision of developing media competencies across Arab region through offering a new training package next October, comprising 25 courses and workshops covering various aspects of contemporary media work. The programs target a wide range of participants, including youth and adults, contributing to building a creative and conscious media generation aware of requirements of the profession.

The Institute has allocated four courses to enhance creative skills of youth, namely: “Theatrical performance” course under the supervision of trainer and media professional Salem Al-Jahoushi, “Future Presenter” course led by trainer Ahmed Youssef Al-Maliki, “Storytelling course” for youth under supervision of trainer Raghda Jamal, and a specialized “Podcast workshop” to enable the new generation to explore audio content creation.

The Institute is also offering eight courses in English language, providing participants with an opportunity to be trained in a modern media environment and to develop their skills in line with the highest training standards. These include: “Video editing” course under the supervision of certified trainer Munther Abu Sweirh, “Avid Composer” course delivered by Hassan Ali Marji, “Fundamentals of entrepreneurship” course conducted by Dr. Rania Al-Jamal and “Effective trainer skills” course delivered by trainer Shona Walsh, in addition to other programs in body language, media presence, TV reporting skills and production of commercial promotional film.

To meet needs of those seeking easy and flexible training, the Institute offers three remote courses that combine quality and accessibility, namely: “Understanding personality types” course led by Dr. Khaled Al-Haddad, “Content creation” course for digital media platforms presented by trainer Abdullah Al-Shaheemi and “Protocol and etiquette” course presented by expert Reema Arab.

The package also includes ten specialized workshops and courses aimed at empowering participants with media skills. These include: “Voice focus” workshop led by expert Amina Omar, “TV documentary production” course led by Dr. Hossam Wahba, “Copyrights in digital media” course trained by Ahmed Ashara, as well as advanced programs in ‘Dubbing and voice-over” under the supervision of Salem Al-Jahoushi and “Drone photography” course led by media professional and trainer Nadeem Al-Mallah.
