Aljazeera Media Institute, through its initiative “Media for Development” and Sada Social Center completed a training workshop titled: Digital Security Practices in daily journalistic work of freelancers.

Nada Bassoumi, trained this workshop which covered digital security practices needed by journalists, data protection and cloud storage, obtaining access permissions, accounts and information protection, communication through two-factor authentication. The workshop also dealt with applications protecting identity from espionage, and how to bypass blocking and use virtual private networks (VPNs).

It worth mentioning that this workshop came in response to the growing need for data and information protecting in the world of digital journalism and was held via visual communication on the first and the second day of April for 12 trainees from different Arab nationalities.
