Al Jazeera Media Institute graduated 13 young speakers

As part of its summer program for young people, Al Jazeera Media Institute organized a specialized public speaking and addressing audience course at its headquarters in Doha. The program held for 13 (girls and boys) Qatari students under the guidance of Qatari trainer Ahmed Al Malki, with the aim of developing their ability to address audiences and express themselves with confidence and clarity.
The course featured intensive practical training in public speaking, voice control and body language, alongside techniques for selecting suitable topics and presenting them in an engaging and impactful way. The program placed particular emphasis on building participants’ self-confidence and empowering them to express their views on a range of issues with clarity and respect.
Ahmed Al Hajri, one of the course participants, described the training as an enjoyable and energizing experience that never felt tedious. He added that the course had brought a remarkable boost to his self-confidence and enabled him to express his views on any topic with greater assurance and in an engaging manner.
Trainer Ahmed Al Malki said: “This course was specifically designed to equip young participants with basics of public speaking.” He explained that, training focuses on voice, body language, choosing the right topic and presenting it in a simple yet engaging way. He added that, mastering these skills help young people build confidence and courage, preparing them to face audiences “without fear” and equipping them for their future roles in society and across different areas of life.
The course forms part of a series of programs offered by Al Jazeera Media Institute for young people, designed to hone skills of aspiring young speakers, equip them with creative-thinking tools and boosting their self-confidence. Through these programs, the Institute seeks to help nurture a generation capable of turning ideas into meaningful initiatives and projects that make a positive impact on their communities.
